Andy Mork, April 8, I am continually inspired by the amount of description, scholarship, and academic attention paid to qualitative interviewing. Chapter 4 was very simple, but reinforced why I am using qualitative interview, in that provides incomparable access to data unaccessible by other methods. For me to retrieve a rich description of leadership practice by those integrating social justice and equity values into their leadership, it is a complex issue relating to the value that respondents put on human life and condition. While I can't imagine trying to measure, describe, analyze this with other methods, I am finally convinced that qualitative interview really is a tool that allows the access to this data. In reading other sections, I was a little confused by the comparisons of grounded theory interviewing and in-depth interviewing.
